Thank you for your interest in volunteering with American Legion Auxiliary New Mexico Girls State.
While we appreciate everyone that applies we are not able to invite everyone onto staff each year.
Invitations to join the staff are based on the needs of the program and the skills/abilities of the applicants to fill the necessary roles. Invitations are sent out in January/February for the coming session. Depending on the responses received more invites could be sent out after that.
Please note all volunteers who accept an invitation to be on staff at ALA NM Girls State will be required to complete an online background check. Details will be provided to staff members as they prepare for session.

Ensure you answer all questions on the form and submit before moving on or all entries on the form will be reset.
This could include being a member of the ALANMGS board, working on the advisory committee/alumnae association or other projects. Please note you must be a member of the ALA to be a chair for the board but all other roles are available to interested parties looking to help ALANMGS.
Please note this is a requirement for attending on staff. On rare occurrences special accommodations are made. Please contact the Director (email@example.com) directly if you have any concerns over arriving in time for orientation.
