Congratulations on registering to attend the American Legion Auxiliary New Mexico Girls State Program!

We look forward to seeing you at the ENMU campus in Portales, NM from
Sunday, June 5 - Friday, June 10.

Check-in is Sunday, June 5 from 10 am - 1 pm in the Eddy Hall dorm.

Check-out is Friday, June 10 from 11 am - 1 pm.

We hope this 6 days of intensive hands on learning will be a once in a lifetime experience you will remember forever.

COVID Notice

The American Legion Auxiliary New Mexico Girls State leadership continues to monitor and evaluate the Covid-19 pandemic as it effects the 2022 session. We are actively preparing for every scenario as the health and safety of our delegates and staff are our top priority. At this time Covid vaccinations are not required for delegates but are highly encouraged. We look forward to a safe and successful 2022 session.

Delegates can send in their check-in items one of two ways:

 

  • Email copies to director@alanmgirlsstate.org and bring originals to check-in Sunday, June 5.

  • DEADLINE PASSED FOR MAILING: Mail in originals no later than Friday, May 13 to ALANMGS 1215 Mountain Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102

All items listed are required at the latest by check-in Sunday, June 5.

Please download and print documents. Ensure all information is legibly printed using blue or black ink.

If at any time you want to check if your paperwork has been received please access the registration status page available in your account settings.

***Transportation Update***

A bus is now available to take students to ALA NM Girls State leaving from Albuquerque with an additional pickup stop available in Santa Rosa. Students will be picked up on Sunday, June 5 to go to Portales and will be picked up in Portales on Friday, June 10 to return to Albuquerque. Location of pickup and exact time will be available soon.

Don't forget

your photo id!

In addition to the session documents above, all students must bring a photo id with them to check-in. This can be a state issued id, military id, or school id.

What can you expect during the week?

College Credit Info

Attendees of American Legion Auxiliary New Mexico Girls State are eligible to receive 3 college credit hours from Eastern New Mexico University. These credits are fully transferable and offered at no cost to attendees of ALA NM Girls State. A presentation from an ENMU representative will be given during session to answer any questions students may have on the credit hours, college life, ENMU or any other post graduation topics.

Requirements to earn credits include:

  • Participate in and complete the entire American Legion Auxiliary New Mexico Girls State session.

  • Complete the Legislation Project.

  • Create a report on experiences during session. Details will be provided during session to complete report during session.

Transcripts, credit details or transfer information is available through the ENMU registrars office following session.
